SENIORS

• There are scholarships available for valedictorians in NHS. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 17th. See Ms. Lakey for application.
• FAFSA needs to be completed ASAP!!!!
• Go to www.schs.sevier.org and click on the "GUIDANCE" tab for more scholarship information & opportunities.
• You can purchase the ticket prices for the prom $30.00.
• Senior Prom will be Friday, April 30.
  

ALL STUDENTS

• Parent/Teacher Conferences March 18, 3:10 - 5:55. Call Darlene in the Main Office to schedule an appointment 453-5525.
• There will be a meeting on April 23rd for all rising seniors regarding yearbook and senior pictures in the theater. We will call the seniors in two separate groups.
• Thank you for your support for the Help Haiti Project.  In all, Sevier County High School donated 736 shirts.  Ms. Parkhurst was the winning class bringing in a total of 264 shirts.
• Interested in traveling to Italy and Germany in the summer of 2011. There will be a meeting in the library on March 24th at 5:00. Please bring your parents.
• Juniors: Please see Ms. Franklin if you are interested in being a Junior BBQ Ambassador for the Bloomin’ Barbeque and Bluegrass Festival.
• Registration has begun. Guidance will start meeting with students by class for each students' registration.
• All upcoming sophomores and juniors that are interested in taking Cosmetology I please stop by guidance to fill out an application. All applications must have parent signatures and be turned into Jama Franklin in Guidance by March 31, 2010.
• Student parking is not permitted on the front row in front of the cafeteria. Also, there are still some vehicles parking in the lot without a parking permit. Please see Coach Loveday for a permit.
  
• Credit Recovery will be open Monday thru Thursday in room 107.
• You must ask for your SF-10 form (to get your drivers permit) 3 days in advance. See Darlene in the main office.

CLUBS

• There will be an important French Club meeting Thursday, March 18th after school – room 502!  See you there!
• Science Club members who are interested in purchasing a T-shirt need to see Ms. South before Friday afternoon.
• Attention NHS members:  Club T-shirts are ready to be picked up in room 302.
• Spanish Club members! Come by senora Stone’s room to order your club T-shirt! Cost is $7.00 – limited number available.

SPORTS

• 2010-2011 Cheerleading Try-Outs Packets: Students interested in trying out for the SCHS cheer squads are to pick up a packet in the office.

  Are you nervous about try-outs?  Let us help you!!!!  Are you a cheerleading newbie?  On the other hand, maybe you have been cheering for a while and just need a refresher course in Try-Out 101.  For ages 3rd grade and up.  Brush up on Jumps, Motion Technique, Band Dances, Stunting and Tumbling.  Forms are in the office or contact Judy Henderson 548-6227 or email n2cheers@charter.net.
